Updated October 2026. These standards describe how guides on Travel Tip Now are made.

1. Research Standards

We aim to base guides on these kinds of sources:

  • Official sources: government tourism agencies, official statistics offices, venue and operator pages.
  • Established publications: for example Lonely Planet, the MICHELIN Guide and Travel + Leisure.
  • Price and booking sources: booking sites and fare aggregators, treated as snapshots that change.

2. Fact-Checking and Prices

We check prices, opening hours and rules against official or operator pages when we write a guide. Prices and availability change often, so figures are estimates: always confirm live rates before you book. If a price or rule changes meaningfully, we aim to update the guide.

3. Experience

We do not claim first-hand visits in a guide unless it says so. Most guides are compiled from official sources, operator pages and published traveler reviews.

4. Affiliate Disclosure
